Working in bank for 18 yearsShiv Kumar, resident of village Bhetan, told in his complaint to the police that he has been working as a Customer Relations Officer (CRO) in Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Branch, Kapurthala for the last 18 years. My duty is to collect installments from those who have taken loan from the bank. The money collected from people has to be deposited in the bank in the evening.
On the evening of December 20, around 05:30, he was collecting bank installments on a bike in his area. When he started leaving the village after taking the bank installments from village Aujla Banwali, there were two youths standing on the unnumbered Pulsar bike on the school side outside the village.
After the fall the accused ran away with the bag Who had covered their faces with cloth. The said youth put their bike behind my motorcycle. When he reached a little further from the village, they tried to snatch the bag of money kept in front of the bike. I drove the bike towards village Dhaliwal. The robbers also came after me. A little behind village Dhaliwal, a young man sitting behind a Pulsar bike kicked my bike.
Due to which he along with the bike fell on the unpaved place. After which the robbers snatched his bag and ran away. An amount of Rs 2 lakh 30 thousand 173, a mobile tab, finger machine, bank receipt book and motorcycle documents were present in the bag. He immediately informed this to Sadar police station. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against unknown robbers under various sections of the BNS.
