The process of submitting nomination papers for Municipal Corporation and Nagar Panchayat Bhulath, Nadala, Begowal and Dhilwan in Phagwara sub division of Kapurthala has been completed. District Election Officer and DC Amit Kumar Panchal said that 219 nominations for 50 wards of Phagwara Municipal Corporation.

39 nominations were received for 13 wards of Begowal Nagar Panchayat and 44 nominations were filed for 13 wards of Bhulath Nagar Panchayat. Similarly, 33 nominations have been filed for 11 wards of Nagar Panchayat Dhilwan and 41 nomination papers have been filed for 11 wards of Nagar Panchayat Nadala.

Now the nomination papers will be scrutinized on December 13. Whereas nomination papers can be withdrawn till 3 pm on 14th December. The result will be declared after voting from 7 am to 4 pm on December 21 and counting of votes on the same day. The entire election process will be completed by December 24.
