Police investigating after theft in Kapurthala.
This afternoon, a bike-riding criminal entered a house in Phulewal village of Kapurthala in Punjab and stole goods worth lakhs of rupees. The thief’s activity has been captured in the CCTV camera installed near the house. It is being told that in the afternoon the family members had gone to the market for some work.

Baljinder Kaur, wife of Malkit Singh, resident of village Phulewal Dere Umrapur, told in the complaint that she had gone to the market for some work after locking the house in the afternoon. When she came home after 2 hours, she saw that the locks of the cupboard were broken and household items were scattered. The woman also told that during preliminary investigation, 2 laptops, 2 mobile phones, 4 tola gold jewelery (tops, bangles and earrings) as well as 7 small silver glasses were stolen from her house.

After checking the CCTV cameras installed near the house, it was found that a young man had come on a red scooter and had carried out this incident. On the other hand, Sadar police station has started investigating the case after the complaint of the victim woman. The CCTV footage is being examined to identify the bike number and the accused. Investigating officer SI Nirvair Singh has claimed that the accused will be caught soon.
