Sri Akhand Sahib recitation before car service
Shri Akhand Path Sahib was started before the Kar Seva of Budhe Dariya by taking the support of Guru Granth Sahib Ji at Gaughat in Ludhiana. Which will be enjoyed on 24th December. During this, Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal took stock of the dirty water falling into Budhe Darya and similarly inspected the direct and indirect dirty and poisonous water of dairies and factories on the spot. He said that by calling the old river as old drain, we are denying the existence of the river itself. He appealed to the environmentalists to come forward unitedly to restore the pristine form of the river.
Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal invited the people of Punjab that it is the moral duty and religion of every Punjabi to restore the ancient heritage of Budha Darya. He said that the youth have immense power and they should come forward for this work.
He said that during the 25 years of the holy feet of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the car service of Kali Vei was also started with the support of the Sangat. Now its water has become so clean that it is now drinkable. In recent days TDS of Kali Wei is coming around 118.

Water goes to Malwa and Rajasthan
Sant Seechewal said that twice in 2008 and 2011, with the cooperation of people, the poisonous and dirty water of Kala Sanghiyan drain was stopped. Because this poisonous water is becoming the main source of cancer. This water falls into Sutlej via Chitti Vei and then goes to Malwa and Rajasthan via Harike Pattan. Where people are forced to drink this poisonous water without treatment.
He said that similarly, to eliminate pollution in Chitti Wei, a regulator worth Rs 1 crore 19 lakh has been made to release canal water from Simbli village into Wei and in future, with the commissioning of this regulator, 200 cusecs of water will be supplied to Chitti Wei. The supply will start which will reduce the amount of pollution but dirty water from factories and dairies remains a big challenge. He said that they have been struggling for water for the last 25 years.
It is important for people to be aware: Seechewal
Sant Seechewal said that they have been fighting for water not in the form of a crowd but in a collective form. Saint Seechewal also expressed happiness over the fact that recently people had taken to the streets for their rights against the poisonous and dirty water coming into Budha Darya. He said that he has always been saying from every platform that unless there is awareness among the people, the rivers and streams of Punjab cannot be cleaned.
