Officers destroying drugs in Kapurthala
As part of the anti-drug campaign being run by Kapurthala Police in Punjab, narcotics seized in various cases were destroyed today.

SSP Kapurthala Gaurav Tura said that the narcotics recovered in 28 cases registered in 12 police stations of the district were destroyed by the District Level Drug Disposal Committee. He personally supervised the entire process of drug destruction.

He said that District Level Committee member Police Captain (Investigation) Sarabjit Roy and Deputy Police Captain PBI Narcotics Sukhpal Singh recovered large quantities of poppy seeds, heroin, intoxicants and ganja in a total of 28 cases registered under the NDPS Act in Kapurthala district. Centralized Malkhana and Judicial Malkhana were destroyed.
Reiterating his firm commitment to eradicate drug abuse from the district, he said that the district police is adopting a policy of “zero tolerance” against this heinous crime.
