Delhi-Amritsar Bullet Train- The central government has started a survey to run a bullet train from the national capital to Amritsar in Punjab. Land acquisition process will be done from 343 villages of Haryana and Punjab for the bullet train project. The central government is planning to run bullet trains on ten routes. Their feasibility report has been prepared. Now the survey has started on the Delhi-Amritsar road and talks with the farmers regarding land acquisition have also started. After the completion of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, a bullet train will be run between Delhi and Amritsar.
Work is going on fast to bring the country’s first bullet train on track. The day is not far when trains will run at a speed of about 300 km per hour in the country. The Made in India coaches of the country’s first high speed train will be tested in the country’s first climatic chamber laboratory. These coaches are being manufactured by Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai. According to the information received, the country’s first indigenous high speed coaches will be tested in 2026. According to the documents found by CNN News-Patiala, these coaches will be seen running at a speed of 250-280 km per hour.
The total length of the Delhi-Amritsar bullet train route will be 465 km. The bullet train will reach Amritsar via Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar, Sonepat, Panipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Ambala, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar from Delhi. This bullet train running between Delhi and Amritsar will stop at a total of 15 stations including Chandigarh. The maximum speed of the train will be 350 km per hour. The walking speed will be 320 km (Delhi-Amritsar Bullet Train) per hour while the average speed will be 250 km per hour. This train will be able to carry around 750 passengers at a time.
It will take less than two hours to go from Amritsar to Delhi
By running the bullet train, the journey from Delhi to Amritsar will take much less time. The bullet train will run at an average speed of 250 km per hour. So it will take less than two hours to cover the distance of 465 km between Delhi-Amritsar. A station will be built in each district on the route from Delhi to Amritsar via Haryana, which is estimated to cost 61 thousand crore rupees.
