Pathankot: Kharmas has special importance in Sanatan Dharma. According to Hindu religious beliefs, auspicious deeds are not performed on Kharmas days. According to astrology, Kharmas occurs twice a year. The second Kharmas of the year 2024 is starting from December 15, this day is also Dhannu Sankranti. Kharmas is starting from December 15 and will end on January 14. According to religious beliefs, getting married, buying a vehicle, starting a business, all these things are not done during Kharmas.
Pandit Ashutosh Shastri said that according to the Hindu calendar, the second Kharmas of the year 2024 is starting on December 15, which will end on January 14. He said that in these days, performing bhajan kirtan after daily ablution is of special importance. Many sins are destroyed by worshiping Lord Vishnu and Sun God on these days.
He said that according to religious scriptures, when Lord Sun is in Pisces and Sagittarius, the strength of the Guru Graha also decreases, due to the decrease in the strength of the Guru Graha, no auspicious works are done on these days. Therefore, in Sanatan Dharma, doing any auspicious work on the days of Kharvas is prohibited.
