PM Modi Kuwait Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a formal welcome and a ‘Guard of Honour’ at the ‘Bayan Palace’ (main palace of the Emir of Kuwait) in Kuwait on Sunday. PM Modi arrived in Kuwait on a two-day visit on Saturday. He has arrived in Kuwait at the invitation of Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait. This is the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to this Gulf country in the last 43 years. Before this, in 1981, the then Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi visited Kuwait.
