RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra paid tribute to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and said that he has left an indelible mark in the country by contributing to economic reforms. Malhotra said on ‘X’ that he was saddened by the demise of former Prime Minister, visionary economist and former RBI Governor Dr Manmohan Singh. Meanwhile, former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan expressed regret over the demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and called him a talented economist. Raghuram Rajan said that Dr. Manmohan Singh was a visionary leader who had an understanding of what was politically possible. He said that Dr. Manmohan Singh, with the support of former Prime Minister Narasimha Rao, carried out such liberalization and reforms that laid the foundation of the Indian economy. Raghuram Rajan, who was the 23rd Governor of RBI, said that Dr. Manmohan Singh had never misused his position for personal gain. According to Rajan, the mild-mannered Dr. Singh listened carefully to everyone, including his critics. -News-Patiala
