Journey from Medical to Civil Service
After completing his medical studies from Government Medical College, Srinagar, Dr Ruveda (IAS Dr Ruveda Salam) started his career as a doctor in the year 2009. During his internship, he took the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) examination and secured the 25th rank. After this, he resigned from the medical field to join the State Civil Service.
IPS became IAS
In the year 2013, Dr. Ruveda first appeared in UPSC. Exam and successfully passed IPS. She became an officer. After training at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad, he was posted as Assistant Commissioner of Police in Chennai. However, even after becoming an IPS, Dr. Ruveda’s dream remained unfulfilled. He appeared for the UPSC exam again in the year 2015 and achieved his dream of becoming an IAS officer by securing a high rank. His optional subjects were Public Administration and Sociology.
