When Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu reached the spot after the uproar in Ludhiana, AAP workers surrounded him.
The atmosphere got heated in Ludhiana late Thursday evening in the last round of municipal corporation election campaign in Punjab. BJP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers came face to face near Sufia Chowk. BJP leader came to the rescue and Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu was attacked by AAP.

AAP workers allege that BJP candidates are serving liquor to voters in a hotel. When Union Minister of State Ravneet Bittu reached the spot, they surrounded his vehicle and raised slogans. MLA Pappi Parashar also reached the spot.
He said that the election campaign has ended at 4 o’clock. Here the orders of the Election Commission are being flouted. Ludhiana Police Commissioner Kuldeep Singh Chahal reached the spot. He said that the video of liquor that has surfaced is still suspicious. Next action will be taken only after investigation of the matter.
