Like every year, this time also the Rath Yatra of Shri Tirupati Bala ji was taken out in Ludhiana on Sunday. The Rath Yatra started from the Durga Mata Temple of the city, Jagraon Bridge, where the Yatra was started by worshiping the Lord and performing Aarti.

Apart from Ludhiana, people arrived from cities of Punjab including Jalandhar, Firozpur, Phagwara, Barnala, Bathida, Mansa, Amritsar, Patiala, Sangrur. In front of the Rath Yatra, people carried out cleaning on foot with brooms. Langars were also installed at the same places.

Durga Mata reached Firozpur Road via the temple. The Rath Yatra passed through Durga Mata Temple, Fountain Chowk, College Road, Ghumar Mandi, Aarti Chowk, Ferozepur Road. Along with Tirupati Bala ji riding in the chariot, Maa Bhu Devi and Maa Paddavati gave darshan to the people. The chariot has been prepared by skilled artisans for which brooms studded with gold gems were also prepared.
While strict security arrangements were made by the police on the Yatra routes regarding the Rath Yatra, many routes were also diverted so that people do not face traffic related problems. Police forces in civil uniform were also deployed during the yatra.
