Maharashtra Government: BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the third time here on Thursday. Along with him, former Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Ajit Pawar took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers. Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office to Fadnavis and his two deputies.

The swearing-in ceremony, which was attended by thousands of supporters of the BJP-led coalition Mahayuti, along with several Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of various states, took place almost two weeks after the results of the assembly elections were announced on November 23. took place in Azad Maidan.

54-year-old Fadnavis, who was elected MLA from Nagpur South West constituency, has become the Chief Minister for the third time. BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar had said earlier in the day that other members of the cabinet will probably take oath before the start of the winter session of the Vidhan Sabha.

Fadnavis was the face of the BJP’s campaign for the Maharashtra assembly elections held on November 20 and under his leadership, the BJP won a landslide victory in 132 seats in the 288-member assembly, which helped him become the chief minister again. .
