Haryana Energy, Transport and Health Minister Anil Vij today welcomed marathon runner Sanya Panchal, a resident of village Rukhi in Sonepat district, on her arrival at Ambala cantonment. He said that this girl is running a marathon with a noble message, which aims to provide opportunities for women to come forward and to tell that our country has different religions, languages and castes but from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari. India is one.
People have tried to break us down but there is something that doesn’t fade away. We are one and together we can fight all adversity with a closed fist. He said that daughters should get opportunities to come forward and Haryana’s daughter Sanya Panchal, who set out for a marathon race from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari in memory of martyred soldiers, has set out on a journey with a good message. Meanwhile, Anil Vij announced to give one lakh rupees from his voluntary fund to the girl going to the marathon. On this occasion, besides Sanya’s father Suresh, mother Usha, residents of village Rukhi were present. Sanya Panchal said that she has started her marathon from Srinagar’s Lal Chowk on December 13 and aims to reach Kanya Kumari by April.
