Here, the mayor of the ruling party and social worker Baljit Singh Chani, by posting on social media and sharing pictures, has taken issue against the bureaucracy of the corporation, which is being discussed a lot in the city. It is clear from the Mayor’s post that he is overwhelmed by the bureaucracy and is not satisfied with the performance of the officers. When contacted, Mayor Baljit Singh Chani said that what is happening in the corporation is not a secret from anyone, but they are not open to anyone’s choice. They are committed to social service and will continue to be. War policy is being followed by the bureaucracy to suppress the policy of social service in the development works. Talking about the attitude of the officers, he said that in Ajit Nagar of the city, a malfunction occurred in the modern technical machine repairing the sewage system at around half past one. They called the corporation officials to reach the spot. They themselves reached but no official or employee of the corporation went to the spot. He himself took the machine to the agency and being a mechanic himself, he rushed and fixed the machine. About the post, he said that he had to do it when the water passed over his head.
In a post shared on social media, he said that the work of the officers is not a responsibility. It doesn’t matter whether the mayor or MLA is defamed, but the officers. The vehicle may have broken down since one o’clock, the employee may have been stuck there, but no officer arrived until five o’clock. What could be a greater shame than this? What should the mayor do alone after reaching the spot… I don’t understand why the officers don’t work even after getting salary… then they will say that the mayor is bad. It is clear from the Mayor’s outburst that he is overwhelmed by the bureaucracy and is not satisfied with the performance of the officers in his government.
