The vaccine will be given twice a year
Drug maker Gilead said the vaccine would be very cheap and a generic version would be available. It will be sent to about 120 poor countries where HIV rates are high. It also includes Latin American countries. UN AIDS Executive Director Winnie Byanyima says the findings are unprecedented. There is no other drug that has been developed as effective as the AIDS vaccine.
