Microsoft new policy Poor performers will not get a chance to return to the company for two years

There is big news for those working in Microsoft. In fact, the company has now implemented strict rules for weak performance or poor performing employees. Now the employees who do not perform well continuously, will not be allowed to get internal transfer and if they leave the job, they will not get a chance to get a job in the company again for two years.

Strict rules for weak performances

Microsoft has informed its employees that the employees whose performance review is between 0 and 60 percent, that is, those who are not able to do well, will no longer get a chance to transfer to another team or department within the company. This means that if an employee has performed poorly, then he cannot go to some other place inside the company to improve his situation.

Apart from this, if an employee is on the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) or his review is very bad and he leaves the job, he will not get a chance to re -work in Microsoft for two years. The aim of this new rule is to maintain only high performing employees in the company.

New scheme for improvement of employees

Microsoft has taken this step so that the performance level of Microsoft can be improved further. The company has made a new plan in which new tools will be given to the managers to evaluate their employees’ performance. This will give the employees a clear direction for their improvement. Employees whose performance will not be as per expectations will be given a plan with a fixed time and target for improvement.

If the employees are not able to meet their goals even in this reform scheme, then the company will give them the option to resign. Along with this, a new exit plan has also been introduced, which is called Global Voluntary Separation Agreement (GVSA). Under this scheme, employees can voluntarily resign from the company and they will also be given a separation offer.

AI-tools to help managers

Microsoft has also given AI-based training tools to its managers to talk on the performance of employees. These tools simulate real -life conditions, which can help the managers talk to the employees properly and wisely. This will help the managers to ensure that they are sensitive and confident while giving feedback on any employee’s performance.

Signs of strictness

Earlier, Microsoft had fired around 2,000 employees earlier this year, without severse, whose performance was very poor. This step clearly states that Microsoft will now accept only good performance at any level and strict policies of the company are in this direction.
