A person resident of Kusa village in Moga district was cheated of Rs 7 lakh by two persons from Orissa and West Bengal. The accused committed the crime by sending him the link of PM Kisan Yojana. Police have registered the case and started investigation.

The victim Ramandeep Singh said that he has filed a file to go to Canada. Had deposited Rs 7 lakh in his account on 7th December. Next day, the link of PM Kisan Yojana came on my WhatsApp, as soon as I opened it, Rs 7 lakh was withdrawn from my account. The entire amount was deposited in someone else’s account, then the money was withdrawn through three different ATMs.

Police investigating the case

Investigating officer Paramjeet Kaur said that Ramandeep Singh had lodged a complaint with us that Rs 7 lakh had been withdrawn from his account. When we investigated, it was found that Rashim Rajan Bahera of Orissa and Shubhakaran Helder of West Bengal had committed this crime.
