A 38-year-old man riding a bike died after being hit by a speeding tipper in Moga, Punjab. Meanwhile, the people gathered at the spot caught the tipper driver who was running away after the accident and handed him over to the police.

Giving information, investigating officer Ranjit Singh said that in the complaint given to the police by village Langeana Sukhdev Singh, he told that Gurdev Singh, a resident of his village, was going through the main road of the village riding on his bike. A speeding tipper coming from behind hit Gurdev’s bike. Due to which the bike rider fell far and got seriously injured.
Injured Gurdev was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he died during treatment. Sukhdev Singh told the police that we have caught the tipper driver who was running away after the accident. The accused tipper driver has been identified as Zora Singh, a resident of Mansa.
The investigating officer said that the body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. Police have started further action on the complaint.
