Accused Jagroop and Gurpreet are in police custody.
Two drug smugglers have been arrested in Moga. From whom 8 kg opium was found. SSP Moga Ajay Gandhi said that on the basis of secret information, Jagroop and Gurpreet, residents of village Butar, have been arrested. Both of them used to import drugs from other states and sell them here.

The informant told that even today he had gone to take drugs. We blocked the Swift car in village Himmatpura and searched the car and recovered 8 kg of opium. Both the accused were arrested on the spot and the car was also seized.
A case was registered against both of them under NDPS Act at Badhani Kala police station. No previous case has been registered against these two. Further interrogation will be done by taking remand.
