Taking action in the case of theft in a house in Phase-7 of Mohali, the police have arrested two accused. Police have recovered stolen silver jewellery, cash and other items from the accused. The case was registered in Mataur police station.

Hardvinder Singh had lodged a complaint with the police that on December 16, at 9:30 am, he and his wife had left home for duty. When his wife returned home in the evening, she saw that the lock of the main door was broken and all the stuff in the room was scattered inside. The cupboard was also broken and the gold and silver jewellery, cash and other valuables kept in it were missing.
The thieves entered the house by climbing the back wall, stole and ran away. On December 19, based on a tip-off, the police named a minor. After this, on December 20, accused Ashish Pashi was arrested near Manav Mangal School in Phase-10, Mohali. During interrogation, the police also identified and arrested another accused named Sanjay.
The accused admitted that they had committed theft by breaking the gate of Kothi No. 2687 in Phase-7, Mohali on December 19 during the day.
