Sarabjot Singh, a resident of Omega City, Kharar, gave a complaint to the police and said that his father Inderbir Singh and brother Manmohan Singh, residents of Sector-54, Phase-2, Mohali, had cheated him. They have defrauded gold jewelery worth Rs 44 lakh 3 thousand 215 and Rs 20 lakh. Chandigarh Police Station-36 has registered a case against the accused under sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B IPC and started investigation.
In the complaint given to the police, the complainant Sarabjot Singh said that the accused Inderbir Singh and Manmohan Singh took him into confidence under some business agreement and took a huge amount of money and gold jewelery from him. But when Sarabjot asked for the return of his money and jewellery, the accused started avoiding him.
How was the fraud revealed? When Sarabjot did not receive the return of his money and jewelery despite contacting the accused several times, he became suspicious. After examining the documents, they came to know that the accused had defrauded them and embezzled the money and jewelery on the basis of fake documents.
police action Chandigarh Police Station-36, taking immediate action on the complaint of Sarabjot Singh, has registered a case against Inderbir Singh and Manmohan Singh. Police said that the matter is serious and a detailed investigation is being done into the activities of the accused.
