In Mohali, a retired captain was cheated of Rs 8 lakh 78 thousand 200 by luring him with good profits in poultry farming business. On the orders of SP, City Police registered a case of fraud against the owner and manager of Birds Organic Farming Private Limited.

Retired Captain Rajinder Singh Rana, resident of Sector-124, Kharar, said that the company based in Defense Colony, Ambala contacted him over phone. After this he went to the company office and also visited the poultry farm.

The managing director and other officials of the company told him about various schemes. He said that if he invests Rs 15 lakh 10 thousand, then Rs 1 lakh 6 thousand 2 will be deposited in his account every month for 24 months. Trusting this promise, Rana invested in the company in April 2023.

Deposit of fixed amount every month till November 2023

Rajinder Singh Rana said that initially till November 2023, the company deposited the fixed amount in his account every month. But after this the payment was stopped. When they contacted, the accused said that there was a loss in the business and money would start coming from February 2024.

Rana said that payment was not made even in February. When they contacted again, they asked to wait till June 2024. No payment was made even in June. When Rana visited the company office and the house of the accused, he found it locked. The accused defrauded a total of Rs 8 lakh 78 thousand 200.

Case registered against the accused

Police have registered a case against Dilbagh Singh, his wife Priyanka (company director), manager Sanjeev and others under sections 420 and 120B. Police is searching for the accused.
