A person who was coming from the Gurdwara on his duty as a reader, was killed with sharp weapons on the way, some distance from the police station Raya. The deceased has been identified as Ramandeep Singh (28), son of Dilbagh Singh, a resident of Madhya village.
Today Beas police station chief Gagandeep Singh said that the deceased’s father Dilbagh Singh told the police that he and his son Ramandeep Singh were returning home from Gurudwara Baba Bakala Sahib last night. In the meantime, when they reached the police post Raia, Sahib Singh, a resident of their village, stopped them and attacked their boy with a dagger. Due to this attack, his son Ramandeep Singh died on the spot. The police have formed teams to arrest the accused. The deceased is survived by his wife and a five-month-old son.
