Mumbai. Actor Prakash Raj appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday in the case of promoting the betting apps. He told the officials that they did not get any payment for any advertisement. ED officials questioned Prakash Raj for about 5 hours. After exiting the ED office, Prakash Raj spoke to the media and told that the officials questioned him about an advertisement made in 2016.

He said, “He asked me about the contract done with that company. Just as the ED did his work as a department, I played my responsibility as a citizen. I came here and gave full information that I did that advertisement, but when I understood that later I understood that this is wrong, I did not do any advertisement again.”

Light raj Reiterated that he had advertised a gaming app only once, but later he understood that he should not have advertised. He appealed to the people not to get caught in betting and work hard to earn money.

Vijay Devakonda and Rana Daggubati were also questioned

Let us know that recently, ED has called many other celebrities including film actors Rana Daggubati, Vijay Devarakonda, Lakshmi Manchu and Ananya Nagalla. Rana Daggubati was asked to appear on July 23, but he demanded to change the date. At the same time, Vijay Devarakonda has been asked to appear before the ED on 6 August and Lakshmi Maanchu on 13 August.

Case filed against 29 celebrity

The ED registered a case against a total of 29 celebrities for allegedly promoting illegal betting platforms. These include TV actors, TV hosts and social media influencers like Shrimukhi, Shyamala, Varshini Sundararajan, Vasanti Krishnan, Shobha Shetty, Amrita Chaudhary, Nayani Pavani, Padmavati, Harsh Sai and many others.
