Mansa District Election Officer Kulwant Singh said that a total of 125 candidates have submitted their nomination papers on the last day of filing nominations for the elections to be held in 13 wards of Nagar Panchayat Bhikhi and 15 wards of Nagar Panchayat Sardulgarh. Earlier, a total of 12 candidates had submitted their nomination papers. In this way, nomination papers of a total of 137 candidates have been submitted for these elections.
He said that 40 candidates have filed their nominations in Bhikhi today, while 11 candidates had filed their nomination papers the previous day. In this way, nominations of 51 candidates have been received for Bhikhi Nagar Panchayat. He said that 85 candidates have filed their nominations in Sardulgarh Nagar Panchayat today and 1 candidate had filed their nomination papers the other day. Similarly, Sardulgarh Vij, a total of 86 candidates have submitted their nomination papers. He said that the nomination papers submitted by the candidates will be scrutinized on December 13 and the nomination papers will be withdrawn by the candidates on December 14.
Handhiaya (Kuldeep Sood): Deputy Commissioner along with District Election Officer Barnala Poonamdeep Kaur said that according to the election program announced by the Punjab State Election Commission, a total of 60 nominations have been filed for the general elections of Nagar Panchayat Handhiaya (total 13 wards).
Bathinda (Manoj Sharma): A total of 244 nomination papers have been filled in view of the elections to be held on December 21, 2024 for Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and Municipal Panchayats in the district, of which 229 were received today and 15 yesterday. This information was shared by Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Shaukat Ahmed Pare. He said that 8 for Ward No. 48 of Bathinda, 5 for Ward No. 9 of Gonyana, 17 for Ward No. 3, 5, 8 and 10 of Lehra Mohabbat, 4 for Ward No. 6 of Nathana, Ward No. 1-21 of Rampura Phul. 109 for Maharaj’s Ward No. 8 4 for Kotha Guru’s Ward No. 2 4 for Bhairupa’s 8 nomination papers were filed for ward number 6, 5 for ward number 1 of Maur and 80 nomination papers for ward number 1-15 of Talwandi Sabo.
Kotakpura (Private News-Patiala/News-Patiala): 11 candidates filed their nomination papers on the last day of filing nominations in two wards of Municipal Council Kotakpura. Local Sub-Divisional Magistrate-cum-Assistant Election Officers Kotakpura office in Ward No. 4 Simranjit Singh of AAP, Kundan Lal of Congress, Rajan Narang of BJP, Suraj Bhan of Shiromani Akali Dal and Arjun Singh Babi of AAP in Ward No. 21, Shiromani Akali Dal. Gurdit Singh of BJP, Shamsher Singh Bhana of BJP, Jasveer Singh of Congress and Kuldeep Singh Manak Azad filed their nominations.
Makhu (Private News-Patiala): On the last day of filing nomination papers for Nagar Panchayat elections in Makhu today, 63 candidates from different political parties of 13 wards filed their nomination papers with the Returning Officer in Office Market Committee Makhu.
Abohar (Letter Perak): Here ward no. For the 22nd by-election, AAP party candidate Madan Lal Khaira filed his nomination papers today under the guidance of constituency in-charge Arun Narang and AAP leader senior advocate Harpreet Singh.
Bathinda (Shagan Kataria): Aam Aadmi Party has left Brahmastra in the form of Padmjit Singh Mehta, son of Punjab Cricket Association president Amarjit Mehta and vice president of Punjab Hotel Association, for the councilor by-election of ward number 48 of Bathinda city. The Aam Aadmi Party announced this today and after that Padmajit Singh Mehta, apart from his father Amarjit Mehta, Nagar Improvement Trust Chairman Jatinder Singh Bhalla, Sugarfed Punjab Chairman Advocate Navdeep Singh Jida, Chairman Amrit Lal Aggarwal, AAP Youth Leaders Rajan Amardeep Singh, Manjit Singh Lehra and youth filed their nomination papers.
