Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal today alleged that a large number of voters’ names have been cut from the lists before the Delhi Assembly elections. Kejriwal said in the press conference that the BJP has submitted applications to the Election Commission to remove the names of thousands of voters in Shahdara, Janakpuri, Lakshmi Nagar and other constituencies. He said, “BJP has applied to delete the names of 11,018 voters in Shahdara region. When we scrutinized the applications regarding 500 names, we found that 75 percent people are still living there but their names can be removed from the voter list. ‘ had won by nearly 5,000 votes. He alleged that now the names of around 11,000 voters from that constituency are being removed from the lists and most of them are AAP supporters. Arvind Kejriwal urged the Election Commission to upload all applications on its website by evening so that transparency can be ensured. On this occasion, party leaders Raghav Chadha, Manish Sisodia and Jitinder Singh Shanti were also present along with Arvind Kejriwal. -News-Patiala
Former MLA Surinder Pal joined AAP

Surinder Pal Singh, a two-time MLA from Delhi’s Timarpur constituency, joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today. This incident has come to light before the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia welcomed Surinder Pal Singh to the party and said that his experience in development work will help the party. According to Sisodia, “AAP has done better development work in the fields of education, health, etc., inspired by them, Surinder Pal Singh has joined our party today and I am sure that his experience will benefit the party. Will help to continue the good work.” After joining the party, Surinder Pal said, “There is only one party which understands the needs of the common people in the right sense and I stand shoulder to shoulder with AAP. I will work shoulder to shoulder Assembly elections are to be held in February next year in Delhi. -News-Patiala
