Karnataka M. Raghu and Haryana’s Devika Sihag won the men’s and women’s singles titles respectively for the first time at the 86th National Badminton Championship here today. In men’s singles, Raghu saved three match points in a close final against former champion Mithun Manjunath to win 14-21, 21-14, 24-22. Devika defeated Sriyanshi Valishatty 21-15, 21-16 to win the women’s singles title. In men’s doubles, junior national champions Arsh Mohammad and Sanskar Saraswat defeated Naveen P. And Lokesh too. 21-12, 12-21, 21-19 and won the title. Similarly, Ayush Aggarwal and Shruti Mishra became the champions in mixed doubles, while in women’s doubles, the pair of Aarti Sara Sunil and Varshini VS won the title. -News-Patiala
