National Film Awards 2025: Vikrant Massey became Best Actor, Best Actress title with Shah Rukh Khan, name of Rani Mukherjee

New Delhi: The announcement of the winners of the 71st National Film Award has started, which is for the year 2023. Shah Rukh Khan received the National Film Award for Best Actor for ‘Jawan’ and Vikrant Massey for ’12th Fail’. Rani Mukherjee received the Best Actress Award for ‘Norway vs Mrs. Chatterjee’. Jury members announced the winners from 6 pm at the National Media Center in New Delhi. Vicky Kaushal’s film ‘Sam Bahadur’ won the award in 3 categories including Best Makeup and Best Costume Designer.

Vikrant Massey was appreciated for the film ’12th Fail’. Senior journalist Subhash K Jha quoted a source as saying, “Vikrant Massey’s performance is giving him the National Award in ’12th Fail’, it is certain.” The source also said, ‘Rani Mukherjee’s film’ Mrs. Chatterjee Verses Norway ‘is a strong contender for her role for the National Award for Best Actress and two actresses of South Cinema are also in this race.’

‘Kerala Story’ for Best Director Award: Sudipto Sen has won the Best Director Award for ‘Kerala Story’. Utpal Dutta won the Best Film Critic Award: Utpal Dutta (Assamese) has won the Best Film Critic Award for his writing on cinema, especially Assamese cinema.
