A tipper driver hit a tractor trolley from behind near Rana Dhaba on Balachaur main road in Nawanshahr, Punjab. In which the person sitting with the driver died due to the tires of the tractor trolley coming down. Police reached the spot after getting information about the case.

According to the information, the tractor trolley was being driven by Sajandeep Singh, son of Chanchal Singh, resident of Bhorsi Brahmin district Amritsar and Lakhwinder Singh son of Harbhajan Singh (50), resident of Bhorsi Brahmin district Amritsar was sitting with him. This tractor trolley was filled with swings, which was going from Phagwara to Chandigarh. At around 6 in the morning, when the tractor trolley driver and other youth reached about 500 yards ahead after having tea and water from Rana Dhaba, a speeding tipper laden with feed coming from behind hit the trolley.
Due to which the tractor driver and the person sitting next to him fell down. The young man sitting next to him died on the spot after coming under the tire of the tractor.

Tipper driver absconded from the spot
Due to the collision with the tipper, the tractor-trolley broke the iron railing on the road and fell into a deep ditch and the feed laden in it got scattered and the tipper driver fled from the spot. After receiving the information, City Police Station Balachaur ASI Lakhveer Chand along with his team reached the spot and took possession of the body and kept it in the mortuary of the Government Hospital of Balachaur. After getting the postmortem done, the body will be handed over to the family members. Further action has been started on the statement of the family members.
