NCERT has included the students’ syllabus as a special module supplementary material.

NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) has released two special modules on Operation Sindoor. These have been included as supplementary material for students from class 3 to 12.

The module states that even though Pakistan refuses to participate in the Pahalgam terror attack in any way, the attack took place on the direct order of Pakistan’s military and political leadership.

These modules have been created for the purpose of raising awareness about India’s military power among school children. The title of the module for class 3 to 8 is ‘Operation Sindoor-Virata’s saga’ and the title of the module for 9 to 12 is ‘Operation Sindoor- Mission of Honor and Bravery’.

NCERT’s special modules are not part of the regular course. It is prepared as a supplementary material to explain a particular topic children. It is taught to children through posters, discussions and debates.

‘Operation Sindoor promises to honor those killed in Pahalgam’ It is written in the module that Operation Sindoor is not just a military operation, but is a promise of protecting peace and honor of those killed in Pahalgam attack. The name ‘Operation Sindoor’ was chosen as a tribute to the widows of the dead.

A module states, ‘India launched missiles and airstrikes on May 7, 2025, targeting nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Seven out of 9 targets were destroyed by the Indian Army. The Indian Air Force destroyed terrorist bases in MuridK and Bahawalpur, which are centers of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.

The module also reported that Operation Sindoor Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hizbul Mujahideen and Pakistani intelligence agency ISI were also India’s way of stopping. NCERT has reiterated the government’s attitude that India ensured that no citizen was harmed.

In response, India targeted POK and Pakistan’s Terror Sites on 7 May. More than 100 terrorists were killed in it. This action was named Operation Sindoor. After this, there was a situation of conflict between the two countries by May 10.
