It was written on that T-shirt, “B your own sugar daddy.” This caused a lot of stir on social media and many people described it as a stance on his ex -wife Dhanashree Verma. Now Yuzvendra has broken the silence on this. He said, “I did not have to do the drama, I just wanted to give a message and I gave that.”

Yuzvendra Chahal said on the podcast of Raj Shamani, “Because something happened from the other side, and I did not intend to do anything in the beginning. But when it happened, I said, now you handle, now you handle… I don’t care anyone now. I did not abuse anyone, I just wanted to give a message.”

Yuzvendra Chahal said that he was giving decorations that now it is a moment of ending everything. Not of conflict. Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra married in the year 2020. Both officially divorced on 20 March 2025. When a family court in Gurgaon divorced him by mutual consent. Both Chahal and Dhanashree issued a joint statement confirming their separation. However, according to a report by senior journalist Vicky Lalwani, the main reason for his divorce was disagreement about his residence. According to him, after marriage, Chahal and Dhanashree started living in Haryana with Chahal’s parents. But in a few days, Dhanashree expressed his desire to settle in Mumbai, which Chahal did not like.

Vicky Lalwani wrote, “After marriage, Yaji and Dhanashree started living in Haryana with Yaji’s parents and used to come to Mumbai only when needed. Yes, this Mumbai-Haryana quarrel was one of the main reasons for the end of this very popular-world wedding. Yaji Clear was that he would not separate himself from his parents’ house and surroundings.” Neither Chahal, nor Dhanashree, nor their families have confirmed this development.
