Nepal: Eight killed in road accident; Five injured

Eight people were killed and five others injured when a vehicle collided with a tree in a forest area of ​​Rauthat district here. The police said that the pilgrims were returning after visiting the religious fair of Gadhimai in Bara district by Scorpio when the accident took place on the East-West highway. According to the police, the driver lost control of the Scorpio which crashed into a tree on the Dhansar-Lamaha road section. He said that eight people including the driver died in this accident. The injured were admitted to a local hospital.

It may be mentioned that the religious fair of Gadhimai is held once in five years which was inaugurated last week. News-Patiala
