Notification released for NEET UG 2025, exam will be held in single shift, know all information here

Students aspiring to study medicine work hard every year and prepare for NEET UG to get admission in medical courses. After the big controversy of NEET UG last year, this time there have been some changes in this exam. Let us tell you what are the highlights of the NEET UG notification this time:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a notification for conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2025 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2025). This exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode on the same day and in the same shift. NEET (UG) will be used for admission to undergraduate level courses in all medical colleges across the country.

It includes AYUSH courses like BAMS, BUMS and BHMS. Apart from this, this exam is also mandatory for admission to BHMS courses under the National Commission for Homeopathy.

Qualifying NEET (UG) will be mandatory for Military Nursing Service (MNS) candidates taking admission in BSc Nursing courses in Armed Forces Medical Services Hospitals.

Shortlisting for selection of four-year B.Sc Nursing courses will be done on the basis of NEET (UG) scores. The examination is part of the integrated process for admission to undergraduate medical and nursing courses, which will provide equal opportunities to candidates.

More than 2.4 lakh candidates appeared for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2024, one of the largest entrance exams in the country, a new all-time record. This exam is most important for admission to undergraduate courses in medical field in India. Through NEET, candidates compete for admission to MBBS, BDS and other undergraduate medical programs.

This year, a total of 1,08,000 MBBS seats were available across the country. Of the available MBBS seats, 56,000 seats are in government medical colleges, while 52,000 seats are offered by private institutions. This exam is mandatory for admission in both government and private institutions.
