Instagram Live: Instagram has made a big change in its live-streaming feature. Now only those users who have at least 1,000 followers will be able to go live. This new policy has been implemented after the recently launched new DM and blocking facilities launched in India. Users whose followers are less than 1,000 will still be able to connect with their audience using video calling, but the option of live will remain closed for them.

This new rule will have an impact, especially on small content creators who used to go live and try to join their followers. Now they have to get 1,000 followers first to increase their audience. The company has not given any official reason for this change, but it is believed that this step has been taken to save resources and keep the system lighter as live streaming consumes heavy servers and data.
Trying to stop objectionable content?
Many users believe that Instagram wants to stop objectionable or porn live content through this change. If a user is banned for this type of content, then it will have to collect 1,000 followers to live again. In this way, the possibility of misuse can be reduced by bringing the live feature responsible and limited.
Policy like other platforms
This move of Instagram is similar to other social media platforms. For example, live streaming on YouTube requires at least 50 subscribers while the number on tickets is of 1,000 followers.
New security facilities for young users
Along with this, Instagram has also launched two new security features in the DM section for adolescent users. Now when a teenager starts chatting with someone, even if they follow each other, Instagram will show them some safety tips. It will be told that look at the profile of the second user carefully and think before sharing personal information. Not only this, now when the account of the person in front was created in the chat window (month and year) it will also be seen. This will help young users to identify fake or suspicious accounts.
