BSNL 4G: India has got a big achievement in the telecom sector. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched BSNL’s 4G service simultaneously across the country. The government telecom company has activated the network on 98,000 sites, which will now provide high-speed connectivity in every state. With this step, BSNL has achieved the availability of Pan-India 4G coverage like private operators.

Network strengthened by 98,000 mobile towers

The announcement was made from Jharsuguda in Odisha, where PM Modi also inaugurated many other projects. BSNL successfully deployed 98,000 4G/5G mobile towers on its 25th anniversary on 26 September. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia informed that 1 lakh more towers will be installed in the coming time, which will further improve the network.

4G network on fully indigenous technology

Separated from private companies, BSNL’s 4G network is completely based on indigenous technology. The hardware and software used in it have been developed in India only. With this achievement, India has joined the selected five countries of the world (including Sweden, Denmark, China and South Korea) which has its own self -sufficient telecom infrastructure. In this project, the government has invested around Rs 37,000 crore.

Users will benefit and cheap plans

BSNL 4G will benefit more than 9 crore subscribers directly. The company’s recharge plans are 30 to 40 percent cheaper than private operators. Earlier, due to network difficulties, many users had moved to private companies, but now BSNL will try to win confidence with fast speed and better coverage. This can also increase the trend of mobile number portability.

5G and 6G roadmap

BSNL is also preparing to launch 5G service soon. It is expected that by the end of this year, 5G will start in metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai. At the same time, PM Modi also said that India is moving towards starting 6G service by 2030, which will include India in the first countries where 6G will be available.

Important role of TCS and Tejas Network

This indigenous network of BSNL was made possible with the partnership of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Tejas Network. TCS took over the responsibility of network integration, while Tejas Network developed radio access system. This cooperation helped BSNL a complete self -sufficient 4G solution which is associated with the vision of self -sufficient India.
