BSNL: Government telecom company BSNL has introduced ESIM facility for its customers, which has started from Tamil Nadu Circle. The company is planning to launch this service in a phased manner in the coming time. With this step, BSNL will now stand in equal to private operators like Airtel, Jio and VI.
How does ESIM work?
BSNL users will no longer need physical SIM card through ESIM feature. Instead, customers can download their SIM profile directly to the device by scanning a secure QR code. The KYC (Know Your Customer) process will be completed at BSNL’s Customer Service Center. The company’s CMD Robert J. Availability and activation process
ESIM-supported customers can visit their nearest BSNL Customer Service Center with a valid identity card. The BSNL team will conduct digital verification there and give a one-time QR code to download the ESIM profile. This service is available to both new and old customers who want to switch from physical sim to ESIM.
BSNL’s anti-spam and anti-mushing protection
BSNL has also started anti-spam and anti-mushing security features for users across the country. Its purpose is to protect users from fraudulent SMS and messages that can get financial loss or identity by obtaining sensitive information.
How does this security system work?
This solution has been developed by Tanla Platforms. This can be activated directly at the network level so that users will not need to install a separate app or change the device setting.
