Odisha: Dumper hits car, two BJP leaders killed

Two BJP leaders were killed in a collision with a dumper early today in Sambalpur district of Orissa. The victims have been identified as Debendra Naik and Muralidhar Chudia. Naik was the president of BJP’s Goshala mandal while Chudia is a former sarpanch. Both of them were close to senior BJP leader Noori Naik. The accident took place in the early morning around 1.30 am on National Highway 53 in the area under Burla Police Station. According to the police, there were six people in the car including the driver and they were returning to their home in Kardola from Bhubaneswar. Six people in the car were taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared two dead. Suresh Chanda, who was injured in the accident, said that the dumper allegedly hit the car from behind twice. Chanda feared that someone was deliberately trying to hit the vehicle. -News-Patiala
