The dead body of former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala has been kept at the family’s farmhouse in village Teja Khera in Sirsa district for last darshan of the people. Chautala, who died of a heart attack on Friday, will be cremated at Teja Khera village with full state honors at 3 pm today.
Chautala’s last rites will be attended by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and other dignitaries. Om Prakash Chautala’s two sons Ajay Singh Chautala and Abhay Singh Chautala and other family members are present in Teja Khera village. Congress leaders Randeep Singh Surjewal and Kumari Selja also reached the farmhouse and paid tributes to the former chief minister. Meanwhile, a large number of people have also started reaching the village. The Haryana government had announced three days of political mourning. The government has declared a holiday on Saturday in all its government offices. -News-Patiala
