Technology has made our lives easier. Now efforts are also being made to prolong life with the help of technology. ChatGPT maker OpenAI, in collaboration with Retro Biosciences, has trained a new AI model GPT-4b micro. Retro Biosciences is a startup, which is working on making human life longer by 10 years. Both the companies have been working together for the last one year. Their main objective is to improve proteins called Yamanaka Factors. Let us know the complete news.
Both companies are doing this work
Both the companies together have prepared the GPT-4b micro model. Its function is to re-engineer a set of proteins, Yamanaka Factors. These proteins can convert human skin cells into younger looking stem cells. Retro Biosciences believes that these proteins can be used to make human organs and can also solve the problem of cell transformation. This is the first model of OpenAI, which has been specially prepared for biological research.
Google also has such a model
The GPT-4b micro model is slightly different from Google’s Nobel Prize-winning AlphaFold model. This model of Google can predict the exact 3D structure of a protein from the amino acid sequence. At one time this task was considered impossible in biology. Due to this, Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis and Google DeepMind Director John Jumper, who created this model, were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry last year.
Research will start on GPT-4b micro
OpenAI and Retro Bioscience have said that they will publish their research on this model. This will help us know how effective this model proves to be and whether it can really help a person live a few more years.
