Opium and narcotic pills were recovered from the central jail

115 grams of opium, 12 grams of ganja, 496 narcotic tablets and 3 mobile phones and sims have been recovered from the prisoners and detainees inside Central Jail Goindwal Sahib during the search of different barracks. Head of Police Station Inspector Prabhajit Singh Gill said that a total of 115 grams of opium, 12 grams of ganja, 496 drug pills, 3 mobile phone SIMs were recovered during the search of Ward No. 8 and Ward 9 of Barrack No. 3 and Barrack No. 6 of the Central Jail. In this regard, on the statement of Assistant Superintendent Pyara Lal, a case has been registered against Jugraj Singh, a resident of Mode, Amritpal Singh, a resident of Sangha, while opium and narcotic pills have been recovered in an unclaimed condition. A case has been registered against unknown persons in this regard.
