Today, the members of various technical services unions related to electricity board held a gate rally in front of City-1 Khanna office under the chairmanship of Kulwinder Singh for their rightful demands and raised slogans. On this occasion, Kartar Chand, Sukhjit Singh and Rajesh Kumar condemned the central government’s decision to hand over private companies to the Chandigarh Electricity Board to implement new economic policies. They demanded that the decisions taken while implementing the policy of privatisation, globalization and liberalization should be cancelled, the previous form of Chandigarh Electricity Board should be restored, the Electricity Act 2003 should be repealed, the workers recruited through outsourcing should be confirmed according to their qualifications. , the change being made in the terms of service should be rejected and the remaining demands should be accepted. The leaders warned the Center and Punjab government and the Powercom management that if the above demands are not heeded soon, the struggle will be intensified in the near future. Sumit Kumar, Harish Kumar, Gurjit Singh, Jamil Mohammad, Gurmukh Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Sukha Singh, Jagdev Singh, Mani Ram etc. were present on this occasion.
