In village Jodhpur of Block Shehna, the management committee of Gurdwara Bhai Himmat Singh organized a Nagar Kirtan dedicated to the memory of the four Sahibzades and Mata Gujjar Kaur under the umbrella of Shri Guru Granth Sahij with the support of all the residents. The Nagar Kirtan was led by five beloved ones.
Langar was installed by the devotees at different stages. Bhai Mukhtiar Singh Nirvair Khalsa Kwishri Jatha presented various Sikh history to the congregation. 12 beautiful gates were constructed by the Sangat to welcome the Nagar Kirtan in the town and langars of various dishes were installed for the Sangat.
Bhucho Mandi (Motivation Letter): The martyrdom day of Baba Jeevan Singh Ji was celebrated in Tungwali village by Baba Jeevan Singh Ji Gurudwara Management Committee with the support of the villagers. On this occasion, the organizers organized a Nagar Kirtan in the village, which was led by Panj Pyaras. Meanwhile, the villagers cleaned the streets of the entire village and the devotees installed welcome gates and langars at different places. Shingara Singh, Baljinder Singh, Mengal Singh Tiwana, Sukhdev Singh, Jaspal Singh, Gurmel Singh, Kala Singh were present on this occasion.
Ceremony in memory of Sahibzadeh at Silver Oaks School
Jaito (Letter Motivational): A special prayer meeting was held in Silver Oaks School Sevawala on the martyrdom day of Guru Gobind Singh’s Sahibzades, in which the students paid emotional tribute to the martyrs and sang the words ‘Deh Shiva Baru Mohi Ihai’. Avneet Kaur, a student of class VIII, explained in detail about the life of the Sahibzades in her speech. Principal Priyanka Mehta said that Sahibzadeh’s sacrifice is a source of inspiration not for any one nation but for the entire humanity. Giving inspiration to always remember the martyrdoms, he said that this week devotees sleep on the ground and recite Gurbani while celebrating the martyrdom days of the four Sahibzades.
Organized a religious function in the school
Bhai Rupa: A function dedicated to the martyrdom of Sahibzada was organized at Summerhill Public Senior Secondary School Bhai Rupa. During the event, the children of the school recited words, poems and thoughts while remembering the martyrdom of Sahibzada. Principal Harbans Singh Brar and Vice Principal Jasveer Singh Bhairupa shed light on the lives of Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Gujri Ji and said that Sahibzades sacrificed themselves for the sake of Sikhism but did not accept Mughals. On this occasion, lecturers Kulwant Singh Sidhu, Gurpreet Chopra, Baljinder Kaur, Sarabjit Kaur, Varinderpal Kaur, Chintpal Kaur were present.- News-Patiala
