Pak-backed terror model: Attack on police failed, ten gangsters arrested

Commissionerate Police (CP) Amritsar has arrested 10 people, including four key operatives of the gangster module run by Pakistan-based Harwinder Rinda and foreign-based Happy Pashiyan, Jeevan Fauzi and Jashanpreet Singh alias Lal. It is being told that the police have succeeded in averting a possible attack on a police establishment in Batala area with this operation.

DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the four main accused arrested have been identified as Arjanpreet Singh resident of Awan Ramdas, Lovepreet Singh alias Love resident of Perewal, Basant Singh and Amanpreet Singh alias Aman both residents of Baba Bakala Sahib, Amritsar. Along with this, those who helped them were identified as Birinderpal Singh alias Mani and Rajbir Singh alias Raju, Vishwas Masih alias Bhambo all residents of Amritsar district, Dilpreet Singh alias Manna, Harjot Kumar alias Mithu and Joel Masih alias Rohan alias Noni all three residents of Dera Baba. Nanak was born as Batala. The DGP said that the police have also recovered three pistols, a hand grenade and a drone from their possession. He said that further investigation is going on in this case.

He said that with the arrest of the two accused Basant Singh and Amanpreet Singh alias Aman, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police has also solved the case of the attack on the residence of a police officer in Batala on November 28.
