The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the team for the Women’s World Cup to be held in India and Sri Lanka from 30 September. In this team released on Monday, 7 new players have been given a chance.
The new players include Aman Fatima, Natalia Parvez, Ramin Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal, Shawal Zulfikar and Syeda Aru Shah. The Women’s World Cup will be held between September 30 to November 2. Pakistan’s team will play the first match with Bangladesh on 2 October. The second match of the team will be with India on 5 October.
Fatima Sana has been made the captain of Pakistan’s women’s team.
All Pakistan matches will be on hybrid models All Pakistan matches will be played in Sri Lanka on hybrid models. According to the hybrid agreement between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the Pakistan team will play all their matches in Neutral Venue Colombo. These include matches against Bangladesh (2 October), England (15 October), New Zealand (18 October), South Africa (21 October) and Sri Lanka (24 October).
Team will play 3 ODIs from South Africa next month Pakistan’s team will play a 3 ODI series against South Africa in Lahore next month. The series will be played between 16 and 22 September. Earlier, the team will train from 29 August under the supervision of Head Coach Mohammad Wasim.
