Moga, January 7
After the Lok Sabha elections, the political direction of the state is changing. Political activities in the state have changed after Amritpal from Khadur Sahib and Sarabjit Singh Khalsa from Faridkot became Lok Sabha. After the embarrassing defeat in these elections, the Akali Dal is facing a crisis.
Due to the new political party being formed under the leadership of Tarsem Singh, the father of Lok Sabha Member Amritpal Singh, who is imprisoned in Dibrugarh Jail, there has been a stir in the politics of the state. Bhai Gursevak Singh Jawaharke and Lok Sabha member Sarabjit Singh Khalsa said that a series of meetings are going on across Punjab for the political conference on January 14 at Muktsar Maghi Mela where the name of the party is to be announced. He clarified that any tainted leader belonging to traditional parties will not be included in the party. He has held meetings with Lok Sabha member Sarabjit Singh from Faridkot constituency and others in 5 of the 9 assembly constituencies of the constituency where there is great enthusiasm among the people. Traditional political parties have not done justice to the Sikh community. Whether it is the issue of profanity and whether there are other issues. Sangat herself is saying that now Punjab needs a good political party. His party will focus on safeguarding the interests of the Sikh community in the state and local problems of Punjab like unemployment, agrarian crisis etc. Along with this, they will also raise their voice against drugs. The main agenda of the new political party is considered to be to form the government in the assembly elections of 2027. It may be mentioned that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has emerged as the largest political party in Punjab politics. AAP came to power as the main opposition party in the 2017 Punjab Assembly elections and in the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections, focusing on its anti-corruption stance and political reforms. The Aam Aadmi Party won 92 seats out of 117 seats in the Vidhan Sabha and Bhagwant Singh Mann became the Chief Minister. After the year 2015, the Akali Dal started to decline.
