Panjab University has postponed the examinations on the bandh call given by farmers on December 30 across Punjab. In a statement issued by Punjab University, it has been said that due to Punjab Bandh, the examination which was to be held on December 30, will now be held on Tuesday, December 31.

Several letters were issued by the institute, in which information about postponement of the examination was given.

Punjab bandh was announced on 30th December

Let us tell you that after the farmers’ meeting held recently, a call for Punjab Bandh was given by the agitating farmer organizations Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and United Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) on Monday, 30th December. During this period, buses and trains will be closed from 7 am to 4 pm. During this period, all government and private institutions will also be closed.

After the meeting, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher had said that it was unanimously decided in the meeting that road and rail traffic will remain completely closed during this period. Members of teaching, transport, electricity workers, Asha workers, ex-servicemen, professors, journalist association, trade association also participated in the meeting and everyone has given support.

The decision of Punjab Bandh was taken in the meeting given by the farmers yesterday.

Dallewal on fast for 33 days, even gave up water

70 year old farmer leader Jagjit Dallewal has been on a fast unto death for 33 days. Earlier he had stopped eating food, now he is not even drinking water. They are vomiting after drinking water. His fellow farmer leader Abhimanyu Kohar told that his blood pressure has become 88/59.

The normal blood pressure of a man above 60 years of age is considered to be 133/69. Dallewal’s immunity has also become very weak. But he has refused to take medical treatment.
