Indian Team Test Squad: The Indian squad for the two-Test series against South Africa has been announced. Rishabh Pant and Akashdeep Singh have returned to the team. However, fast bowler Mohammad Shami has been ruled out once again. The first Test match between India and South Africa will be played from November 14 to 18. Both the teams will take to the field at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Apart from this, the India A squad for the ODI matches against South Africa A has also been announced. Tilak Verma has been appointed as the captain of this team.
Rishabh Pant and Akashdeep Singh are returning to Team India after the England tour. Both players suffered injuries during the five-Test series against England. Mohammed Shami did not get a chance
Fast bowler Mohammad Shami has once again been ruled out of the Test series against South Africa. Shami is currently playing domestic cricket for Bengal in the trophy. Shami has also excelled in the Ranji Trophy, but despite this the selectors did not consider his name. In fact, Shami recently made comments about chief selector Ajit Agarkar, who he believes has fitness issues that are causing him to be overlooked.
