Recently, Maharashtra Public Service Commission released the result of Group C exam and Mala was also named among the selected candidates. On April 18, Mala got a combination of her selection and with this she realized that nothing is impossible in life.
Parents left at the railway station, now become an officer
Mala gave this exam in 2023. Its result has been released after 22 months. Now 26 -year -old Mala will work as a revenue assistant in the office of the collector of Nagpur.
But his life is not so easy. He was released by his parents at Jalgaon railway station about 20 years ago. After staying in the remand home for a few days, he was sent to the ashram of Shankar Baba Palkar.
Shankar Baba Palkar is a social worker of Amravati who has been awarded the Padma Shri. Mala studied in his ashram in Vajjar and cleared the exam of Maharashtra Public Service Commission.
Can’t see detected at the age of 10 years
Mala started living like her daughter in Baba Palkar’s ashram. In his documents too, Baba Palkar’s name was written in place of his father’s name. When the garland was 10 years old, she came to know that she could not see with both eyes. Only 5% of his functional vision was and his eyes were extremely weak.
Mala studied from Swami Vivekananda Blind School. After this, Bachelors degree from Bhiwapurkar Blind School in Amravati.
Mala got 60% marks in 10th and 65% marks in 12th.
Studied with the help of audiobooks
In 2019, Mala started preparing for competitive examinations from Amol Patil’s Unique Academy. But due to Kovid epidemic, classes had to shift to online mode. In such a situation, there were Mala and many blind students like her, who started having difficulty in studies. Amol Patil started preparing audiobooks for them and all the blind children started reading with the help of these audibooks.
