Model Town Chowki Police of Patiala, Punjab has caught two vicious criminals who were stealing mobile phones and bikes from the markets of the patients admitted in Rajindra Hospital. Both the accused, aged between 20 and 25, had been committing theft crimes for about six years and for the last few months

.

Both were caught from ITI Road

SP City Mohammad Sarfaraz Alam said that these accused have been caught along with 16 mobile phones, eight bikes and one Activa. All these vehicles and mobiles are stolen. SP City said that SHO Civil Police Station Amrit Veer Chahal, outpost incharge Ranjit Singh and his ASI Pawan Kumar, under the supervision of DSP City One, arrested these two accused from ITI Road and recovered them.

Used to sell bikes at low prices

SP City said that the police team has arrested 25 year old Lalit, resident of Pratap Nagar and 22 year old Deepak, resident of Sanjay Colony. Both of them used to sell most of the bikes and mobiles at low prices by misleading the people by saying that they needed money and after disassembling the parts of the bikes which were not sold, they used to sell them to scrap dealers in Patiala and Haryana. The said recovery was made during one day police remand.

There is a record of ten cases being registered against accused Deepak since 2018 till now, whereas one case is registered against Lalit, in which he got bail in the month of August and came out of jail.
